Hi, my name is Sid Young. I designed this cell to be highly flexible in it’s use. The basic concept is plates, gaskets and plastic end plates assembled in such a way that the electrolyte is contained in the space “between” the plates and within the plumbing and tanks for reserve and separation of liquid and gas and safety. These plates can be arranged in a myriad of different configurations. This is truly an experimenters cell. Through my association with a group of very talented men, I learned that using neutral plates in a cells configuration really helped “tame the beast”. The most efficient operation is accomplished by having 4 or 5 neutral plates between the positive and negative electrode plates. Thus a 13.5 volt input to the electrode plates in the 6 or 7 plate “Cell” results in lower voltage (2 volts approx) being more efficiently applied to the process of electrolysis. These cells can be utilized separately, wired in series and plumbed parallel allowing individual cells to be nested away in various available spaces under the hood or elsewhere. Or the cells can be ganged together in one stack or (brick), wired in series with no need for more than 2 end plates or additional plumbing. This configuration requires a larger single “free space” under the hood such as the battery tray for installation.
